Rifugio Consèria

At an altitude of 1,836 meters, surrounded by the pristine nature of the Lagorai mountain range, Rifugio Consèria is a haven of peace and authenticity in Val Campelle. Once a stable of Malga Consèria, the hut preserves its original wood and stone architecture, embodying a story of tradition and harmony with its surroundings.

A Close-Knit Team in Sustainability

The beating heart of Rifugio Consèria is its team, made up of Fabiana, Luca, and other staff members who take turns throughout the seasons. Fabiana is in charge of overall management and always welcomes you with a smile, embodying a philosophy of authenticity and simplicity reflected in every detail.

Luca, a great connoisseur of the forest, takes care of firewood organization. Together, they share a passion for the mountains and a commitment to creating a refuge where every guest feels at home.

Thanks to this dedication to sustainability, the refuge is part of the Natura 2000 Special Protection Area, actively working to protect the Lagorai ecosystem through concrete actions and by raising awareness among guests about what to do (and what not to do) to respect the mountains.

How to Reach Rifugio Consèria

Getting to Rifugio Consèria is an experience that begins with a pleasant hike, a mountain bike ride, ski touring, or snowshoeing in winter. Three trails, each 5.5 km long with a 400-meter elevation gain, lead you to the destination through breathtaking landscapes:

  • The 5 Croci forest road
  • The SAT 326 trail
  • The Nassere forest road plus the Aie trail

For younger children, it’s best to use a baby carrier or backpack, as strollers are not the most suitable option.

Stay at the Hut

Rifugio Consèria offers 24 beds with half-board accommodations, primarily in cozy 4-person rooms, ensuring comfort and tranquility. Dogs are welcome and allowed in all areas, including the rooms, making it a perfect destination for adventurers who love traveling with their four-legged friends.

Authentic Mountain Cuisine

The kitchen, overseen by Fabiana, is a celebration of genuine flavors. Using fresh, local ingredients without pre-processed products, the generous dishes served here tell the story of the territory’s culinary heritage.

Among the specialties to try are: canederli in broth or with melted butter, and strangolapreti with spinach, speck, and walnuts; gulasch soup, cheeses from Malga Cenon di Sopra, and the refuge’s special dish with stew, polenta, and sauerkraut. The homemade desserts, such as strudel, tarts, and the famous Linzer Torte, are the perfect ending to a delightful meal.

One unique feature is the chance to drink Lagorai’s water, purified through the hut’s system and served in pitchers to minimize plastic usage. Guests are encouraged to refill their water bottles before heading out for their next adventure.

Hikes and adventures

Rifugio Consèria is the perfect starting point for exploring the wonders of the Lagorai. A hike to Cima Socede immerses you in the history of World War I, with restored fortifications and breathtaking views extending to Cima d’Asta.

The Laghetti dei Lasteati (Lasteati Lakes) are a biodiversity treasure trove, home to frogs, newts, and water boatmen, offering an up-close encounter with nature. Another highlight is Passo 5 Croci, where the evocative cemetery at Cocuzzolo dei Morti tells stories of the past, framed by awe-inspiring panoramas.
