With 60 beds, Rifugio Cima d’Asta offers warm hospitality in a simple and genuine environment. The hut’s manager, Emanuele Tessaro, has realized his dream of becoming the guardian of this slice of paradise after years of experience in the restaurant industry and as a member of the Tesino Alpine Rescue Station.

For those looking for a rewarding hike, Trail 327, with its 1,000-meter elevation gain, leads to the hut in about three and a half hours, providing a satisfying challenge for hikers. Families will love the Sentiero delle Marmotte (Marmot Trail), where every step is an adventure. Wooden larch sculptures, crafted with skill and detail by two young artists, create a whimsical and engaging experience. Informative panels along the trail share a delightful story, captivating children as they explore the path.
Trail 327, with an elevation gain of 1,000 meters, leads to the hut in about three and a half hours, offering a rewarding challenge for both hikers and families. Along the way, the charming Marmot Trail turns every step into an adventure, thanks to creative larch wood installations, masterfully carved by two young sculptors. A special and engaging story, told through illustrated panels, accompanies children along the route.
The Giro del Zimon is a demanding loop trail around Cima d’Asta, featuring 1,800 meters of elevation gain and about 10 hours of hiking. It can be split over two days with an overnight stay at the mountain hut. The route offers spectacular views of mountain passes, saddles, and Lake Bus, with technical and exposed sections. Ideal for experienced hikers, it also allows for a summit ascent before returning along the scenic Campagnassa trail.
The Giulio Gabrielli Via Ferrata Loop is a scenic and technical route that crosses the Socede Ridge, featuring a short equipped section, and leads to the summit of Cima d’Asta. Starting from Malga Sorgazza, follow trail 326 to reach Forcella Magna, then continue via Passo Socede and the Canalone dei Bassanesi, ascending along the west ridge to the summit. On clear days, the breathtaking view from the top stretches from the Lagorai range to the Dolomites, and even to the sea. The descent follows trail 364, passing by Rifugio Brentari, and returns via the Campagnassa trail back to Malga Sorgazza.
The Alta Via del Granito is a circular hiking route starting and ending at Malga Sorgazza, crossing the Cima d’Asta – Cimon Rava group. It follows ancient trails and military roads from World War I, linking three mountain huts over 3 to 5 days of trekking through spectacular landscapes, alpine pastures, and historical sites.
